Cold Weather Summer Reminder

Nothing better than thinking about warm ocean and summer sailing. My wife and I and our kids (3 and 4 years old) are on summer vaccation in Greece every summer in our small cruiser, which  is placed permanently in Greece. Nice weather, warm waters and steady winds, really not much more to wish for. I hope that Greece will survive 🙂

Every year I leave a couple of days before the rest of the family to prepare the boat for the season. Paint job, maintenance etc. And every year I take some newly developed products with me,  just to check on my own how they perform in real life. I remember clearly our first development of Gelcoat Sealer (shown on the picture below) . I offered it to a worker in marina who was polishing a nice dark blue fifty footer. And he was doing this for two days and still was not finished. I offered him to try a sample of our Gelcoat Sealer. He tried it for a couple of minutes and came back…”WHERE CAN I BUY IT? This stuff will save me several days of work, but please do not tell the owner about it!” And that is still a comment we get when someone tries the product.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And this is also a case when I polish my own boat. It takes me one hour at the top. All in all two days of preparation and we are ready to go. This summer we are considering Cyclades, it’s windy and beautiful, I’ve heard.
